Professor Won-Joo Hwang
Won-Joo Hwang received his B.S. and M.S. degree in Computer Engineering from
Pusan National University, Pusan, Republic of Korea, in 1998 and 2000. And he received the Ph.D degree in Information Systems Engineering from
Osaka University Japan in 2002. From 2002 to 2019, he was a Full Professor at the Inje University, South Korea. Currently, he is a Full Professor
in the School of Biomedical Convergence Engineering at the Pusan National University, South Korea. Professor Hwang has been a Visiting Scientist at School of
Interdisciplinary Computing and Engineering (SICE), University of Missouri at Kansas City (UMKC), U.S.A. (Uomoto International Scholarship; Jan. 2002-Apr. 2002),
Department of Computer Science and Intelligent Systems, Osaka Prefecture University (Follow-up Research Fellowship; June 2009-Aug. 2009),
Network Architecture Group, National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT), Japan (NICT Foreign Researcher Invitation Program;
Sep. 2009-Mar. 2010) and Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of California, Davis (Sep. 2017-Aug. 2018).
His research interests include optimization theory, game theory, machine learning and data science for wireless communications and networking. Professor Hwang has been serving as board member of the Korea Multimedia Society (KMMS). And he is a senior member of the IEEE and a member of the IEICE. |
